Gangrene of bowel is an emergency condition characterized by severe abdominal pain , vomitings, bloating of abdomen and not passing motion or gases.
This problem requires urgent attention. CT scan shows a clot in blood vessel or blockage .Patient requires surgery at the earliest. If delayed this could be life threatening.
Surgery comprises of removal of gangrenous bowel segment and making a joint between healthy bowel segment.
